Situated in one of the most famous squares in the world (The Piazza), the Basilica di San Marco was described by Napolean as the finest drawing room in Europe. The basilica was constructed to house the body of St Mark. It is built in the Byzantine style and richly decorated with magnificient mosaics and other embelishments. The shot was taken with my EOS 500N on Fujichrome Provia 100.
